Series: Flowers Dimensions: 60 × 80 cm by Farzaneh Ravesh

This series of works by Farzaneh Ravesh is a fusion of two previous collections, „Flowers“ and „Women and Cats“. In Flowers, the focus is on feminine instinct and energy, where exaggerated flowers symbolize birth, desire, and inner emotions of women. In Women and Cats, attention is drawn to the artist’s rebellious and freedom-loving traits; the cat is not merely a domestic pet but a symbol of an unbounded, inquisitive nature in pursuit of knowledge and experience. The artist chose life in exile over submitting to the totalitarian rule of the Islamic Republic of Iran, seeking freedom and exploration in Germany. This personal experience and her spirit of liberation are reflected in her works, particularly in the Women and Cats series, where the cat symbolizes the desire for freedom, curiosity, and transcendence. these two sections present a cohesive vision of the artist’s inner world and her perspective on femininity, freedom, and creativity.
